Toughest Monster Truck Tour returns to Lamar

Lamar Democrat/Melissa Little The Toughest Monster Truck Tour was held Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23, at the Freeman Outdoor Event Center at "The Stompin' Grounds". The trucks competed in three separate competitions including wheelies, side by side racing and all out freestyle on a 1300 foot long track. There was also a Plus Tuff truck racing competition. A large crowd was on hand each night to enjoy the festivities; unfortunately, due to a burn ban being enacted in the county, there was no fireworks show either evening. The next event to be held at “The Stompin’ Grounds” is the Lamar PBR 8 Second Chute Out, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19 and 20, 8 p.m. each evening.
