CARROLL T. FITCHPATRICK
JASPER- Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Weng Funeral Chapel for Carroll T. Fitchpatrick, 91, Jasper, who died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2022. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery in Jasper.

Survivor’s include his wife of over 61 years Louella (Warner), daughter Amy, son Brad (Deb), daughter Cindy, grandson Kurtis, granddaughter Katie (Will) and his first great granddaughter coming in January. And many other loved long distance family members.
Mr. Fitchpatrick was born Oct. 23, 1930, in Jasper, to Lena and Earl Fitchpatrick. He was the eldest of eight siblings. He was a 1949 graduate of Golden City High School and in November of 1950 he entered the United States Navy. He served on the U.S.S. Titania and the U.S.S. Consolation supply and POW ships during The Korean War.
Many years later after he left the military he began working for Lawn Boy. He married Louella Warner on Oct. 2, 1960, in Kenoma.
In 1967 he began working for the Government Services Administration in St. Louis. After working for 10 years he transferred to the Frank Carlson Federal Building in Topeka, Kan. Years later he transferred to the Veteran’s Administration, where he worked in the power plant. He retired in 2000, with over 38 years of government service.
He loved to fish, boat and camp with his family. Him and Louella took month long trips in their RV to Colorado in the summers around Estes Park. He always had jokes to tell people to make them laugh and would get so excited to tell them. He never knew a stranger and could start a conversation with anyone.
