New school year begins on very positive note

Lamar Police Chief Joe Moore, left, and School Resource Officer Robert Lawrence were on hand to speak before the Lamar School Board on Wednesday, Aug. 17, regarding school safety and building relationships with the students and the community. A walk-thru of the schools had been held earlier in the day with members of the Lamar Police Department, the Barton County Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri Highway Patrol participating.
