CRAIG PETERSON

ORONOGO-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jasper Christian Church for Craig Stephen Peterson, 46, Oronogo, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 1 p.m. There will be a private family burial.

Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.

Contributions may be made to the Craig Peterson Family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Janett; one son, Chasen Peterson; a stepson, Daylan Leivan; three daughters, Hannah Peterson, Hailey Peterson and Rainie Peterson; one stepdaughter, Marissa Leivan; his father, Kevin Peterson and wife Nancy; his mother, Lendy George and husband Russell; his grandmother, Janet Taylor; three stepbrothers, Tommy Powell, Robert Powell and Mark Powell; a half-sister, Piper Vale and a stepsister, Teresa Powell.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marion and Betty Peterson and Clifford Taylor.

Mr. Peterson was born Feb. 10, 1969, at Independence, to Kevin Peterson and Lendy Smith. He was a 1987 Jasper High School graduate and had attended college. He attended the Christian church and had his own landscaping business. He was a member of the Iris Club, loved dirt bikes, raised golden retrievers and was a member of the AKC Kennel Club.

He married Janett E. Hamilton on April 6, 2011.
