ROSS KNIERIM

LOCKWOOD- No services are being held for Ross Allen Knierim, 64, Lockwood, who died peacefully at his home on the farm on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Susie; two sons, Kyle Knierim, Parkville and Rodney Troutz and wife Angie, Owasso, Okla.; a daughter, Tiffany Lewis and husband Steven, Greenfield; three grandchildren, Jack Troutz and Sabrina and Jodie Lewis; a sister, Alaina Lafferty and a brother, Bryce Knierim; his father and mother-in-law, Larry and Carolyn Isaac; a brother and sister-in-law, Evart and Gina Isaac; nieces and nephew, Will Isaac and wife Rachel, Brenna Geiger and husband Josh, Emily O’Connell and husband Chad, Amber Lafferty and Amanda Skinner and husband Ralph, as well several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph and his mother, Alvesta Mae; a brother-in-law, Jim Lafferty; a brother-in-law, Larry Isaac Jr., and his grandparents.
Mr. Knierim was born Oct. 26, 1957, to Ralph Knierim and Alvesta Mae Buck. He spent his childhood in the North Kansas City area, graduating from Winnetonka High School in 1976. He married Susie Isaac Troutz in April of 1992, in Smithville. Together their family grew over the years. They have spent the last 10 years building their farm just west of Lockwood.
Mr. Knierim was a lover of all things in nature. If he wasn’t fishing, you could find him outside enjoying the animals on their land. He never passed up the opportunity to be one with nature. He was also a man of many talents. He was an amazing artist who could capture scenery on a canvas and bring it to life, as well as a talented woodworker. There wasn’t much he couldn’t accomplish when he set his mind to achieving it.
One of his favorite things was to do with his son Kyle was go fishing. They spent many hours talking, planning and executing their next adventure. There weren’t many areas around that he had not dropped a line in.
