Walkers enjoy cooler weather while meeting pledges

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Barton County Right to Life held its annual Walk for Life on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 6, at the Lamar City Park. Partnering with the organization this year was Katie’s House, a pregnancy and family resource center, who held its Walk 4 Life at the same time. Several gathered at 9 a.m., with many turning in pledge sheets even if they were unable to walk. Following a time of devotion and prayer, several took advantage of the cooler weather to enjoy a stroll around the park.
