STEVE MARTIN ARNOLD

WACO, Mo.- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, at Waco Christian Church (127 Stockholm), for Steven “Steve” Martin Arnold, 74, Waco, who died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022. Johnie Adkins will officiate.

A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary Chapel in Joplin.

Arrangements are under the special care of Parker Mortuary.

Survivors include his wife, Deanna Arnold, of the home; two sons, Doug Arnold and wife Tonya and Matt Arnold and six grandchildren, Kadynce Arnold, Olivia Arnold, Georgia Arnold, Max Arnold, Gracie Arnold and Morgan Arnold.

He was preceded in death by a son, Greg Arnold.

Mr. Arnold was born Feb. 1, 1948, to Clarence and Grace (Martin) Arnold. He was born and raised in Lamar and was a 1966 graduate of Lamar High School. He played high school football for Lamar and was awarded a “full ride” scholarship to play for Missouri Southern College.

He married the love of his life, Deanna Bendure, on Aug. 15, 1970, at Waco Christian Church. Together they were blessed with three children, Doug, Matt and Greg Arnold. The couple celebrated their 52-year anniversary this year.

Mr. Arnold enjoyed digging with his backhoe and mowing the grass. He was a hard worker and loved getting his hands dirty. He enjoyed watching NASCAR races and football, but especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren at their ball games. He enjoyed working on projects with his sons.

He was a member of Waco Christian Church.
