NANCY NELL WOODWARD

JACKSON, Tenn.- A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., for Nancy Nell Woodward, 93, Jackson (formerly of Lamar, Mo.), who died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, with both of her sons by her side. Burial will follow in Lake Cemetery in Lamar, Mo.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 12 noon.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Nigh Cemetery, Lamar Library Fund or a charity of choice in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two sons, Greg Moore and wife Barbara and Brad Moore and wife Manda; grandchildren, Dr. Cindy Minnis and husband Gary and Keith Moore and wife Kass; great-grandchildren, Coleman, Carleigh and Dante; nephews, John Isenhower, Jim Woodward, Stan Woodward and Mike Earl; nieces, Nancy Smith (who called Aunt Nan everyday), Irma Jean Fayad and Jane Woodward.

She was preceded in death by two husbands; sisters, Annette Earle and Norma Jo Isenhower and nephews, Tony Woodward and Robert Smith.

Mrs. Woodward was born March 9, 1929, in Lamar, Mo., to Joe Hardenbrook and Nell Hardenbrook. In her youth she lived in Oregon and California, then her family moved to Lamar, Mo. and she graduated from Lamar High School.

She married Allen Moore in October of 1947. The couple lived in Mississippi for six years and Arkansas for nine years. He died in February 1971. She married Carl "Clutch" Woodward in December of 1973. The two shared many wonderful trips together, from New England in the fall to the beaches of Hawaii. He died in 2004. In 2016, she relocated to Tennessee to be near most of her family.

Mrs. Woodward had many friendships over the years. She enjoyed Ladies Day at the Lamar Country Club, her bridge club and the investment club in which she participated.
