GOLDEN CITY-Services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Golden City for Doris L. McCall, 97, Golden City, who died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, at Truman Healthcare in Lamar. Burial was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Donations may be made to Hospice Compassus, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include four children, Marilyn Sue Wolfe, Springfield, Judie Barkley and husband Bud, Blue Springs, Kenneth McCall and wife Nancy, Lamar and Cathy Thompson and husband Mike, Carthage; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Mrs. McCall was born March 10, 1918, in Golden City, to Jacob and Alda Kentner. She was a devoted mother, teacher and farmer's wife. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed being on the Park Board, Ladies Extension Club and a part of the Golden Homes Board. She was a lifelong resident of the Golden City community.

She married Leonard McCall on Oct. 23, 1938, in Olathe, Kan. He preceded her in death.
