PHIL HARMON

KANSAS CITY- A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, at Memorial Gardens in Lamar, for Phil Harmon, 65, who died peacefully on September 23, 2022.
Arrangements are under the direction of Meyers Northland Chapel, Parkville.
Contributions are appreciated to the St. Charles Borromeo Parish School or the Alzheimer’s Association of Kansas City. Please, no flowers.
Survivors include two sisters, Beth Harmon-Vaughan and husband Terry and Elaine McCoy and a niece and nephew, Andrew and Laurel McCoy.
Mr. Harmon was born Aug. 26, 1957, in Lamar, to Phillip Charles and Lestie (Miller) Harmon. He grew up in Gladstone, loved and played many sports, and fished throughout his life.
He had a successful career in construction and was part of teams that built every new high-rise in downtown Kansas City in the ‘80’s, ‘90’s and early 2000’s. His work took him to Alaska, Oklahoma and Las Vegas, where he worked on the Stratosphere.
His last year was clouded with dementia and Parkinson’s.
