The Missouri Corn Growers Association and 4th Congressional District Candidate Mark Alford held a meet and greet on Friday morning, Oct. 31, 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., at Seed & Farm Supply, 33 NW 1st Lane, in Lamar. Honey Pot offered a hearty breakfast to those attending and many were on hand to engage in candid conversations about issues that are important to rural Missouri. Darrick Steen, Missouri Corn Growers Association director of public policy, was present for the meet and greet, along with candidate Mark Alford. The Missouri Farm Bureau’s Political Action Committee has endorsed Alford for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Missouri's 4th Congressional District. The event was free to all corn growers and industry supporters, with many taking advantage of the free breakfast, hot coffee and great conversation.
