GAILAN CAROL RIGGANS

LOCKWOOD- Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar for Gailan Carol (Bench) Riggans, 74, Lockwood, who died Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.

Survivors include her children, Michael Riggans, Springfield and Kelly Flores and husband Jesse, Porterville, Calif.; siblings, Linda Smith, Lockwood and Dennis Bench and wife Terri, Lamar; nieces and nephews Diane Terry and husband Patrick, Lockwood, Megan Smith, Lockwood, Derek Smith and wife Brandi, Camdon, Brandy McCann and husband Bryair, Joplin, Tonya Denman, Joplin and Jason Bench and wife Shawnee, Lockwood. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many great nieces, great nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by a son, Mark Riggans; a nephew, Dennis “DJ” Smith and a niece, Rachel Bench.

Mrs. Riggans was born April 26, 1948, in Modesto, Calif., to Melvin and Huberta (Manka) Bench. She grew up in Modesto and attended Downey High School. She moved to Porterville, Calif., where she lived for many years. She was a homebody who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was very artistic and enjoyed writing. She had lovely handwriting that was perfect and artistic in itself. She also colored, drew and cross-stitched. She was a good cook, but enjoyed going out to eat and loved watching classic movies.
