Beautiful weather brings out trick-or-treaters in droves

Lamar Democrat/Melissa Little It was a beautiful 71 degrees according to the local weather station and for once in a long, long while, trick-or-treaters were able to enjoy the day without being bundled up or hiding under an umbrella. The great weather definitely brought out characters of all shapes and sizes as they traveled around the Lamar square during the Barton County Chamber of Commerce’s Halloween Hullabaloo that was held Monday, Oct. 31, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pictured are some of the visitors that stopped by the Lamar Democrat, who along with free candy was handing out their 2022 Lamar Free Fair Memory Books to those wishing to take one. There were many other events happening around the area throughout the day and evening, giving everyone a chance to highlight their costumes.
