VAN BUREN, Ark.- The family will receive visitors from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, with a memorial service being held at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo. for Cathy Louise Williams, 68, Van Buren, who died Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.

Survivors include her husband, John; children, Gregory Williams and Sara Davis, Springfield. Mo. and Kristin Lea and husband James, Van Buren; her mother, Reba Rouse, Liberal, Mo.; siblings, Elaine Castagno and husband Leroy, Pittsburg, Kan. and Nancy Huser and husband Mark, Golden City, Mo.; her grandchildren, Gavin and Grady Williams and Ott and Deacon Lea; a sister-in-law, Glenda Rouse and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her father, Merle Rouse; a brother, Rick Rouse and an infant daughter, Kaleigh Renee Williams.

Mrs. Williams was born Dec. 23, 1952, in Pittsburg, Kan., to Reba (Baker) and Merle Rouse. She grew up in Liberal, Mo., where she graduated from Liberal High School in 1970 before going on to receive her Associate Degree in Nursing at Ft. Scott, Kan. She married John Williams on March 24, 1975, in Miami, Okla.

Mrs. Williams was part of the team at the Barton County Health Department for more than 30 years before retiring in 2014. She was a longtime member of Main Street Bible Church. A few years after retiring, she and her husband moved to Van Buren to care for their two youngest grandchildren and became a member of Family Worship Center. She enjoyed spending time crocheting, preparing meals for others, and looked forward to holiday baking and candy making.

She loved being Nana to her grandkids, Gavin, Grady, Ott and Deacon and prayed over them and many others daily. She was an avid prayer warrior with an unwavering faith in Christ up until the moment she went to be with Him.
