DALTON JUNIOR HORTON

JASPER- Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at Golden City High School, for Dalton Junior Horton, 16, Jasper, who died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City.

Visitation will be held Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses.

Survivors include his parents, Larry Horton, Golden City and Jenna Rusch, Jasper; two brothers, Chester Horton and Cutter Horton, both of Jasper; grandparents, Karen Graf and husband Joe, Aldridge, Randy Rusch and wife Cheryl, Greenfield and Velma Horton, Golden City.; great-grandparents, Johnnie Neale and wife Joyce, Jerico Springs; his girlfriend, Maddi Bryant, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Larry Chester Horton and a cousin, Adriaunna Horton.

Mr. Horton was born Feb. 10, 2006, in Springfield to Larry Wayne Horton and Jenna Nicole Rusch.

He was currently a sophomore at Jasper High School and was a member of FFA. Before attending Jasper High School, he attended Golden City schools, where he was also a member of the FFA, FCCLA, student council and basketball team, while also playing football for Lockwood. He loved riding dirt bikes and deer hunting.
