CARTHAGE-Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at First Church of the Nazarene in Carthage for Kenneth Dale Davis, 82, Carthage, who died Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood. Burial will be in Red Oak Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 pm. Tuesday, at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Weng Funeral Chapel, Jasper.

Survivors include his wife, Fern Davis, of the home; two sons, Ron Davis, New Orleans, La. and Randy Davis, Mt. Vernon; one daughter, Rhonda Coose, Lockwood; one stepson, J.D. Stevenson, Springfield, Ill.; three sisters, Dorothy Alumbaugh, Carthage, Della Jordan, Rogersville and Donna Lane, Carthage; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Davis was born March 29, 1933, in Red Oak, to Norman and Violet (Gulick) Davis. He was a farmer and enjoyed farming with his two sons. He also hauled grain until retirement. He enjoyed traveling, camping with family and friends and church activities. He was a member of the First Church of The Nazarene in Carthage.
He married Geraldine McIntyre on Sept. 25, 1955. She died Sept. 22, 2006. He then married Fern Stevenson on Aug. 14, 2010.
