New officers sworn in prior to city council meeting

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Prior to the Lamar City Council meeting held Monday, Dec. 19, Lamar Police Department officers Kiley Gerster and Brandon Carbone were sworn in by Lamar City Clerk Felicia Costley. Officer Carbone is going into his fifth year as a law enforcement officer and his badge was pinned on by his fiance, Francis Murphy. Officer Kiley Gerster, who recently graduated from the MSSU Law Enforcement Academy, had her badge pinned on by her fiance Calvin Gish and daughter BrynLeigh Gish. Also pictured is Lamar Police Chief Joe Moore.
