HELEN IRENE OSBURN
LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Helen Irene Osburn, 73, Lamar, who died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022. Burial will follow at Pennsboro Cemetery in Greenfield.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Fresenius Kidney Care, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Robyn Gardner Barnes and husband Danny; five grandchildren, Anthony Osburn and partner Ethan Settle, Brittany Osburn-Sweet and husband Jacob, Caitlyn Gardner and husband Taylor Hubbard, Alex Gardner and Nick Gardner; three great-grandchildren, Noah Osburn-Sweet, Aaron Sweet and Steven Sweet; three brothers, Carl Burton and wife Jean, Carthage, Wayne Burton and wife Michell, Stockton and Ricky Burton and wife Debbie, La Russell and two sisters, Wanda Stump and husband Jerry, Springfield and Lois Duncan and husband D.D., Lamar and a brother-in-law, David Osburn and wife Sharon, Lamar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, "Moose"; one son, Edward "Andy" Osburn Jr; two brothers, Dale Burton and Donald Gene Burton and one sister, Mary Jane "Janie" Burton.
Mrs. Osburn was born Feb. 20, 1949, in Avilla, to Vester Alfred Burton and Mildred Geraldine (Harris) Burton. She graduated from Golden City High School. She married Edward Andrew “Moose” Osborn on Oct. 31, 1972, in Miami, Okla.
She worked as a CNA for 21 years at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Carthage and 22 years as a physical therapy aid at Barton County Memorial Hospital in Lamar. She and her husband owned and operated "Poppy and Grammers", a scrapbook and candle store which was located on the Lamar square. She enjoyed doing Sudoku puzzles and crocheting.
