SHELDON-Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Milford Christian Church for Diane Sue Kirby, 61, Sheldon, who died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, following a short illness. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery in Jerico Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Kirby; two sons, Ricky Stockton and Michael Stockton and wife Candice, both of Lamar; three daughters, Katie Cheek, Lamar, Marry Boyle and husband Bobby, Mt. Morris, Penn. and Sandy Stockton, Carl Junction; two stepsons, Robert Dion Kirby and Dondi Dale Kirby and wife Chelsie, both of Terrell, Texas; one stepdaughter, Christy Kirby, Greenville, Texas; her mother, Elanora Estes; a brother, Steve Estes; three sisters, Linda Pennington and husband Nick, Donna Burton and Judy Gayer and husband Gene, all of Miller; 15 grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Estes and one step-grandson.
Mrs. Kirby was born July 10, 1954, at Miller, to Louis Wiley and Elnora Gean (Mobley) Estes. She was a graduate of Miller High School. She had worked at Thorco Industries and Super 8 Hotel, and most recently Truman Healthcare as a housekeeper. She attended Milford Christian Church and enjoyed fishing, cooking for her church and was a garage sale queen. Her family decided to custom paint her casket as a tribute to her.
She married Kenneth Stockton and together they had five children. They later divorced and he died in 2006. She married Robert Kirby at Jerico Springs in November of 1993.
