LCTC observes 50 years of serving Lamar and area schools

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Lamar Career and Technical Center observed its 50th anniversary with an open house that was held at the facility from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3. Various alumni and staff were on hand to tour the building, with light refreshments being served. Tables were ladled with a colorful array of food and drink, as well as a table that featured yearbooks from many years past. Students continued to work on projects as the open house was held. All former staff members were to be recognized during halftime of the varsity boy’s basketball game that evening, in the Lamar High School gym.
