Mrs. Nance was born Dec. 9, 1939, in Clinton, Iowa to Frank Joseph Murphy and Pearl Marie (Conley) Murphy. She was blessed with three beautiful children, Debbie, Bill and Troy, who were her pride and joy. She moved to Sheldon in 1966 and then to Lamar in 1992.

Mrs. Nance worked for O'Sullivan Industries for 22 years in the packing and castor departments. She enjoyed cooking and baking. She would always make a special dessert for those she loved. And she loved everyone, if she knew you, she loved you. Her pride and joy were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. She would tell them all her stories, sing them nursery rhymes and songs. Spending time with her family filled her heart with happiness and love. The holidays brought her so much joy. She would make sure to bake her famous sugar cookies and make sure all her kids and grandkids had "goodie" candy bags. She started many holiday traditions and has passed those traditions on to her kids and grandkids. She was the rock for her family and there will always be a void that cannot be filled. She loved the Chicago Cubs "Cubbies" and the K.C. Chiefs and was so thrilled to watch their Super Bowl win.

She was loved by many and she will be missed tremendously by her family and friends.
