MURRIELL JUNE DEFRATUS

STOCKTON- Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pippenger Cemetery in Lockwood for Murriell June DeFratus, 76, Stockton, who died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2023.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar.

Survivors include two sons, Kenny DeFratus and wife Tina, Jerico Springs and Mitch DeFratus and wife Hether, Frenchville, Maine; two daughters, Sonnie Probert and husband Tiger, Golden City and Mona DeFratus and Charlie Cass, Cape Fair; 12 grandchildren; Chad Enochs and wife Liz, Broc Probert, Gavin Enochs and wife Kelli, Bryce Probert and wife Allison, Miranda Harring, Bailey Bessendorfer, Heather Bishop and husband John, Whitney Neidigh and husband Jake, Macy McDonald and Desiree, Allie Wedgeworth, Shelby DeFratus and Preston DeFratus; 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Brenda Duncan and husband Willie, Stockton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill DeFratus and one brother, Roger Cook.

Mrs. DeFratus was born March 1, 1946, in Denison, Texas, to James Waterson Cook and Dellia Gertrude (Prator) Berryhill. She married William “Billy” Levern DeFratus on June 1, 1960.

She worked as a cook at Lamar Middle School and retired from Walmart after 15 years.
