Over 80 percent of the 574 veteran pavers that have been sold have been engraved and delivered to the Barton County Memorial Park office. They have been sorted and are ready to be laid. According to Joe Davis, they are waiting for a stretch of good weather so Nic Jeffries can put them in the Walk of Honor. The park’s goal is to have them all installed by the Memorial Day ceremony on May 29. Also, Joe stated that he gets asked a lot, "is it too late to buy a veteran paver?" He tells them no; that they will always be selling them. They want to honor as many veterans as they can. The Walk of Honor will hold around 1,100 pavers, give or take. When that is filled up they will find another spot to put them. When they get the nearly 600 laid this spring, they will probably engrave and install new orders 10 at a time or so. Davis said, “Once again, I want to thank everyone for their patience. We want to see these laid as much as everyone else.”
