LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home for Thomas Owen Champlin, 95, Lamar, who died Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Lamar. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to Lamar Elk's Lodge No. 2800 or the Barton County Eagles Lodge No. 4405, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Dennis Champlin and wife Vickie, Lamar; one daughter, Debbie Puryear and husband Rick, Joplin; one grandchild, Kristen Reavley and husband Brenton, Parkville; three great-grandchildren, Ella Reavley, Jackson Reavley and Trinity Reavley and a sister-in-law, Sharon Adams, Kansas City, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie; two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Champlin was born Nov. 26, 1927, in Ridgeway, to Millard Filmore Champlin and Tressie Leola (Sweet) Champlin. He was a graduate of Ridgeway High School. He married Winifred Ella LaFollette on May 27, 1950, in Ridgeway.
Mr. Champlin worked as a terminal operator for Williams Pipeline in Jasper. He was a member of VFW Post No. 3691, a Mason, a founding member of the Lamar Elk's Lodge No. 2800 and a lifelong member of the Barton County Eagles Lodge No. 4405.
