LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Lamar for Edith M. (Supernaw) Voorhees, 92, Lamar, who died Monday, April 17, 2023, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage.
The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., prior to the service on Friday, at the Lamar United Methodist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to either the Lamar United Methodist Church General Fund or the Lamar Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three daughters, Sharie Kay Voorhees, Dawn Norwood and husband Dale and Lesley Haubein and husband Bruce, all of Lamar; six grandchildren, Brian Norwood and wife Jill, Kristin Pettibon and husband Brett, Jensen Voorhees and wife Moriah Piers, Aaron Norwood and wife Jessica, Sierra Stewart and Cody Hall and Jason Norwood and wife Tori and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, five brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Voorhees was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Cook, Neb., to Walter Ray Supernaw and Edith Amna (Lane) Supernaw. She was a 1949 graduate of Lamar High School. She married Richard Voorhees on Nov. 2, 1954, in Neosho.
She drove a school bus for the Lamar School District for 13 years and was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church.
