WEBB CITY- Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 6, at the Martin Family Cemetery in Milford for Richard Alden Hartsuiker, 80, who died peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Webb City Heath and Rehab in Webb City.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Contributions may be made to the Lamar Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, James Toms, Keno, Ore.; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Sherry Fortner, Milford; one brother-in-law, Sterling Martin, Lamar and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion; his twin sister, Mildred Nell Martin and an infant brother.

Mr. Hartsuiker was born June 28, 1942, in Downey, Calif., to Klaas Hartsuiker and Betty Jo (McCoy) Hartsuiker. He was a mechanic at heart. He served in the US Army from December 1967 until October 1972. He then served 17 years in the Army National Guard. He was proud of his service.

He married Marion Elaine Miller on March 20, 1994. She was the love of his life.
