Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A very successful Truman Day was enjoyed by many on Saturday, May 6, at the Harry S Truman Birthplace. There was something for everyone to enjoy, including craft and food vendors, period artisans, wagon rides, games and a bounce house for the kids and a petting zoo. The event celebrated President Harry S Truman’s 139th birthday and was sponsored by the Barton County Chamber of Commerce and Missouri State Parks.
