Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger The Sheldon Class of 2023 held its graduation ceremonies at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 14, in the school gym. An awards/scholarship ceremony was also held. Avery Bogart was the class salutatorian, with Deborah Lamb being named valedictorian. The guest speaker for the day was Nancy Adams. Following the receiving of their diplomas and presentation of the class, scholarships and awards were given to the graduating seniors, followed with a class slide show that featured each individual graduate. Following the recessional, students gathered in the back of the gym for the proverbial tossing of their mortarboards.
