Sixth grade enjoys Fish With a Cop

The Lamar sixth grade classes had beautiful weather as they participated in the Lamar Police Department’s Fish With a Cop on Thursday, May 18, at Wheeler Park. Along with the police department, the Barton County Ambulance District and Barton County Sheriff’s officers assisted students. A lot of fish were caught, plus the students enjoyed a meal of fried fish and fried potatoes. The day was planned by SRO Robert Lawrence, who was assisted by Walmart, the Lamar Elks Lodge 2800 and the Missouri Department of Conservation.
