Mrs. Graham was born March 25, 1939, to Glen S. Teel and Eva Lorene Teel, at their home in Sheldon. After graduating from Sheldon High School in 1957, she worked for Bell Telephone in Kansas City, Mo., where she met her first husband, Don Patterson. They had one child, Chris Patterson. While raising her son, she cleaned homes, decorated cakes for customers and sold Princess House crystal and Tupperware. She also lived for a while in Wichita, Kan., where she worked as a receptionist for various companies.

She married Larry Graham in California, where she lived near her brother for a few years. Later, she and her husband moved back to Lamar. There they created their own business, Graham Crafters, where they sold various handmade crafts.

She attended Iantha United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Women’s Division General Board of Global Ministries of the United Methodist Church. She had a large collection of Bibles, which she thoroughly read and studied. Her only love surpassing that for her son and grandson was her love for God.
