Lamar TigerSharks kick off season at Monett Invitational

The Lamar TigerSharks kicked off the 2023 swim season at the Monett Invitational. Team members participated in the one-day competition on Sunday, June 4. Each athlete was limited to four individual events, with the top eight finishers in each race earning team points. The following weekend, multiple rain delays resulted in the near-cancellation of the Joplin Invitational on June 10; however the meet did go on. The TigerSharks were scheduled to participate in the Fort Scott Swim Invitational on June 17. Watch for details on this meet in a later edition of the Democrat.
