ROSEMARY M. RICE

LAMAR- A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 12, at Milford Christian Church, for Rosemary M. Rice, 81, Lamar, who died Wednesday July 19, 2023.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the First Christian Church of Lamar or the Good Samaritan Shop.

Survivors include her children, Cecil Fyock, Carl Junction, Gene Fyock, Lamar, Robert “Bob” Fyock and wife Roberta, El Dorado Springs, Missy Arlint, West Plains, Patty Milligan, Nevada, Mo., Carrie Meyers, El Dorado Springs, Billy Reese and wife Emilie, Lamar, Evelyn Barlow, Lebanon and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Murray; a grandson, Billy Ray Lee Reese and long-time companion, Roland Thomas Fredericks.

Mrs. Rice was born December 16, 1941, to Helen (Cook) and Ray Murray. She grew up in Liberal and graduated from Liberal High School. She worked in several places in her life including as a CNA in Nevada, Mo., a waitress at Babe’s Restaurant in Lamar and at Thorco from which she retired in 2004.

She loved her grandchildren, her miniature Beagles, finding deals while shopping at the Dollar Tree, fishing and filling her yard with windmills.
