Great American Bed Race draws large crowd

Photos by Sharon Wingert The Great American Bed Race was held Saturday, July 15, 10a.m., on Main Street in Golden City as part of Golden Harvest Days. The event was sponsored by Arvest Bank. The first place team were the Golden City Grain & Cotton Reapers, consisting of Chad, Carter (the driver), Hamilton, Duante and EJ. The second place team were the Golden City Grain and Cotton Speedsters, consisting of Dakota, Luke (the driver), Benji, Anthony and Brandon. Third place went to Roof WRX The Lightnings, consisting of Crystal Smith, Chloe Storm, Quintin Winans, Ty Stokes and Lexi Rice (the driver).
