City of Lamar hosts open house

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger An open house was hosted by the City of Lamar, with a ribbon cutting being held by the Barton County Chamber of Commerce at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23. The new city hall is located at 132 W. 10th Street and tours of the facility were offered to those attending the open house from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Refreshments were also served. Many dignitaries representing the city were present for the ribbon cutting, with Lamar Mayor Rick Oeltjen speaking to those present. Many citizens of the community were also on hand.
