CHARLES CLARK HAMMAN IV
GOLDEN CITY- A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Charles Clark Hamman IV, 57, Golden City, who died Friday, Aug. 18, 2023.
A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Kara Lee Hamman; one son, Ethan Hamman and wife Amanda, Ruston, La.; one daughter, Meagan Allen and husband Mason, Golden City; his mother, Susan Martin Hamman VonCanon and his mother-in-law, Donna Shaw, both of Golden City; four grandchildren, Anastasia, Charlie, Sam and Ellie; three sisters, Michelle James, Carthage, Autumn Wyatt, Pascagoula, Miss. and Rachel Crabtree and husband Dan, Germany and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles; his father-in-law, Gary Shaw and a brother-in-law, Chris Shaw.
Mr. Hamman was born Nov. 14, 1965, at Camp Lejeune, N.C., to Charles C. Hamman III and Susan Martin Hamman. He was the only boy, with one older sister and two younger ones.
He graduated from Kubasaki High School in Okinawa, Japan in 1984. He then flew home to the United States, where he met the love of his life, Kara. They married four years later on August 20, 1988.
Mr. Hamman worked many different jobs and loved to work with his hands. He was working at Pitt Plastics in the maintenance department at the time of his passing. He was the best man you could have known. He was easy to talk with and always had time for a conversation. He was loving, kind, sharing words of comfort and encouragement with everyone he knew.
