Annual Walk for Life held on Labor Day

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Despite the impending warmer weather, many gathered at 9 a.m. on Monday morning, Sept. 4, to participate in the Barton County Right to Life’s annual Walk for Life, held on Labor Day at the Lamar City Park. Partnering with Barton County Right to Life was Katie’s House Pregnancy and Family Resource Center. Following scripture by David Spiering and Katherine Miles, those participating in the walk turned in their pledge sheets, then headed for the walking trail.
