MINDENMINES-A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Nashville Cemetery for Judith “Judy” Annette Van Dorn, 72, Mindenmines, who died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2016, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, Kan. Pastor Clifford Allmon will officiate. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home, Lamar.
Contributions may be made to the Judy Van Dorn family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Treva Collier and husband Kevin, Mindenmines and Paula Short and husband Craig, Bentonville, Ark. and eight grandchildren, Kyle and wife Abbey, Bradley, Joshua and Adam Collier, Travis, Nicolas and Kayla Short and Jody Pryor.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Paul and Minnie Dietz and uncle, Bill Dietz.
Mrs. Van Dorn was born April 17, 1943, at Pittsburg, Kan., and is a graduate of Cherokee (Kansas) High School. She was reared by her grandparents, Paul and Minnie Dietz and an uncle, Bill Dietz. She attended Believers Bible Church in Pittsburg, Kan., and had worked at Sugar Creek Packing for 14 years. She was also a homemaker. She liked to work crossword puzzles and loved spending time with her family.
She married Edwin Leroy Van Dorn on June 18, 1966. He died May 28, 2009.
