LHS Class of 1947 observes 76th reunion

Two members of the Lamar High School Class of 1947 met at Tractors in Lamar on Sunday, Sept. 24, in observance of their 76th class reunion. Don Selvey and Wilmetta (Frogge) Jeffries represented the class.

Lamar’s Promenade 2025 was held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Wyatt Earp Park. Prom attendees entered from the back of the stage and were announced as they walked across the stage, down the stairs and then up the walkway. Thankfully the weather allowed the promenade to be held at the park, with a large crowd gathering to view the many seniors prior to attending their prom that was held at the Gaderian in Carthage.

Naomi Schneider, daughter of Luke and Tanya Schneider, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. In her free time Naomi enjoys horseback riding, fishing with her brother, drawing, listening to music and playing outside. She has ducks, geese, horses, a dog, outside cats, chickens, bunnies and turkeys. Some things that are important to Naomi are family, grades and pets.
