Katie’s House holds inspirational banquet

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger Katherine Miles, co-founder and CEO of Katie’s House, spoke to large group that attended the banquet on Monday evening, Sept. 25. She gave an account of how Katie’s House came to be and how she and husband Bill stepped out in faith as God led the way.

Lamar’s Promenade 2025 was held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Wyatt Earp Park. Prom attendees entered from the back of the stage and were announced as they walked across the stage, down the stairs and then up the walkway. Thankfully the weather allowed the promenade to be held at the park, with a large crowd gathering to view the many seniors prior to attending their prom that was held at the Gaderian in Carthage.

Naomi Schneider, daughter of Luke and Tanya Schneider, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. In her free time Naomi enjoys horseback riding, fishing with her brother, drawing, listening to music and playing outside. She has ducks, geese, horses, a dog, outside cats, chickens, bunnies and turkeys. Some things that are important to Naomi are family, grades and pets.
