LHS Class of ‘73 meets for 50th reunion

The Lamar High School Class of 1973 met for its 50th reunion over the weekend of August 25 and 26. The group met at the Lamar United Methodist Church on Friday, Aug. 25, where all enjoyed grilled hamburgers that had been donated by Danny Little, with side dishes and desserts being provided by classmates. The second night, on August 26, the group met at the home of Tom and Maria O’Sullivan and enjoyed a meal that was catered by Chicken Mary’s restaurant. Lamar’s Promenade 2025 was held from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Wyatt Earp Park. Prom attendees entered from the back of the stage and were announced as they walked across the stage, down the stairs and then up the walkway. Thankfully the weather allowed the promenade to be held at the park, with a large crowd gathering to view the many seniors prior to attending their prom that was held at the Gaderian in Carthage.

Naomi Schneider, daughter of Luke and Tanya Schneider, is the sixth grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. In her free time Naomi enjoys horseback riding, fishing with her brother, drawing, listening to music and playing outside. She has ducks, geese, horses, a dog, outside cats, chickens, bunnies and turkeys. Some things that are important to Naomi are family, grades and pets.
