FLOYD “WAYNE” SEATON

LAMAR- A visitation and celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Konantz Warden Funeral Home, for Floyd “Wayne” Seaton, who died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023.Graveside interment at Oak Grove Cemetery will immediately follow.

Survivors include his children, Kevin Dotson, James and Carrie Seaton, Charles Seaton and Tamara Slaight, all of Lamar; 17 grandchildren; 20 grandchildren and three more on the way; his siblings, Verna Pennell and husband Robert, Lamar, Veronica Tucker and husband David, Hixson, Tenn. and Charles E Seaton Jr., Oklahoma, as well as, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Harvey Brown; a sister, Vickie Clark; a brother, Dean Brown and a grandson, Garth Seaton, as well as his lifelong friends, Joe Barger and Gearld Shaver.
Mr. Seaton was born in Webb City to Charles and Fern Seaton. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and loved to cruise around town and in the countryside looking for deer. He also enjoyed sewing, making arrowheads and flint knapping. He loved attending black powder shows and rendezvous with family and friends. He was also a Boy Scout leader alongside Dr. Joustra. His hobbies included motorcycle riding, working on vehicles and bowling.
He was a member of the BFW. He drove a truck for JB Hunt and drove a farming truck in South Pittsburg, Kan. He worked at Judy's Truck Stop and worked for Thorco for over 22 years. As a side job, he worked alongside the Shavers Machine Shop.
He loved his family and friends tremendously. They will all miss hearing his stories, adventures and his knowledge of the outdoors. May he now rest in peace.
