Photo by Patricia Nixon Lamar Cruise Night held its last cruise of 2023 on Friday, Oct. 6, on the Lamar square. During the evening, a very special plaque was awarded to Melody Metzger with the Lamar Democrat, thanking her for her outstanding dedication and devotion to her coverage of Lamar Cruise Night over the last 10 years. Melody, who accepted the plaque with gratitude and a big smile, said, “But I’m just doing my job!” The top trophy winners for the evening were Ken Sisseck, Charles Keeler and Larry Fast.
