Special Veterans Day ceremony featured at Memorial Park

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A candlelight ceremony was held at the Barton County Memorial Park in Lamar on Saturday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day. Candles were placed at all of the veterans pavers that are featured in the park’s Walk of Honor, along with candles being lit at the 69 service markers on the southwest corner of the park. Those attending were spellbound by the flickering of the candlelights that highlighted the Walk of Honor and service markers.
