LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Deborah Rae Joustra, 66, Lamar, who died Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at Cox Barton County Hospital in Lamar. Burial will follow at Lefler Cemetery.
A visitation will be held Friday evening, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Contributions are suggested and made payable to the City of Lamar Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Clarence Tucker Joustra; one son, Clarence Taylor Joustra and one daughter, Stephanie Rae Crossley and husband James, all of Lamar; seven grandchildren, Jaeci Joustra, Cole Crossley, Mac Crossley, Zee Crossley, Sam Crossley, Rae Crossley and Ty Crossley.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Joustra was born May 24, 1957, in Pueblo, Colo., to Harry Hubert Gammon and Zona Florence (Willis) Gammon. She married Dr. Clarence Tucker Joustra on June 18, 1976, in Lamar.
She worked alongside her husband in creating his physician office in Lamar and maintaining the business for several years until she chose to stay home and be a housewife.
Mrs. Joustra was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and hardly ever missed watching a game. She enjoyed all animals and always had a following of cats asking for her attention. She was big on family and relished any time spent with her grandchildren.
She spent many years involved at First Christian Church in Lamar, where she was involved in youth group, teen choir, worship ministry and sang with the Grace Notes. She is a believer and follower of Jesus, who called her home suddenly. She touched many lives in a positive way. She is missed.
