ALVENNA MAE VALENTINE

LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Daniel Funeral Home for Alvenna Mae Valentine, 89, Lamar, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Home in Belton. Burial will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Golden City.

A visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Alzheimer's Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include one son, Samuel DiBenetto and wife Gloria, Visalia, Calif.; three daughters, Jean Dailey, Lamar, Carmella Lynn Mason and husband Jim, Lee's Summit and Tammy Valentine, Belton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and one sister, Mary Jane Kaderly, Belton.

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, seven brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Valentine was born July 5, 1934, in Lamar, to Alva Monroe McKenzie and Florence Mabel (Kellogg) McKenzie.

She worked at Thorco Industries as a sheet metal bender.
