ROBERT BOGART

SHELDON- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ferry Funeral Home for Robert “Bob” Leroy Bogart, 78, Sheldon, who died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at his home. Burial will follow at Sheldon Cemetery.

A visitation will be held prior to the service time, beginning at 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sheldon Cemetery, with the funeral home serving as custodian.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Leslie Bogart, Sheldon; three nieces, Vicki Wright and husband Trent, Fort Scott, Kan., Stacy Taylor, Sheldon and Melissa Griffitt, Sheldon; one nephew, Michael Bogart and wife Shelby, Nevada, Mo. Additional survivors include several great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded by his parents; one sister, Roberta Cassatt and husband Gary and two brothers, Edward Allen Bogart and Larry Bogart.

Mr. Bogart was born Nov. 8, 1945, in Sheldon, to Robert Franklin and Georgia Corine (Ford) Bogart. He graduated from Bronaugh High School and worked for Thorco Industries in Lamar for over 30 years. He was very artistic and he loved being around kids and playing computer games.
