DAVID ALLEN PIERSON

LAMAR- No services are planned for David Allen Pierson, 76, Lamar, who died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2024, as a result of the injuries suffered December 8, 2023 from an incident on NW 10th Road in Barton County.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include his sister Karen and husband Jerry Crockett and dear friends, Wally and Judy Norton.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Pierson was born Nov. 16, 1947 to Roy Pierson and Sparkie (Dumolt) Pierson. He was raised in Lamar and graduated from Lamar in the class of 1967. He attended college in Warrensburg for one year.

His stepdad, Dean Robinson took him under his wing plastering silos. He was a proud Boil Maker and traveled extensively with Chicago Bridge and Iron. He returned to Lamar and was a mechanic and welder for Crockett Construction Inc., keeping motors going and trailers in tip top shape. He worked for WATCO, welding train cars and finished his working career as a heavy duty mechanic for Republic Landfill.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the companionship of his beloved cocker spaniel, Casey.
