TIM FRIESENBORG

GOLDEN CITY-A memorial visitation was held Thursday, Feb. 11, at Pugh Funeral Home in Golden City for Tilman “Tim” Lyn Friesenborg, 67, who died at his residence in Golden City on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016.

Survivors include a son, Bill Friesenborg and wife Brandy, Golden City; one daughter, Melissa Friesenborg, Tucson, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Brock and Brooke Friesenborg; two sisters, Arvilla Allen, Illinois and Jackie Larson, Iowa; one brother, Gary Friesenborg, Iowa and his significant other, Karen Markle, Golden City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Friesenborg was born Feb. 14, 1948, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, to William and Opal Mae (Berhow) Friesenborg. He grew up in Iowa and lived in numerous states before moving to Golden City in 1995. He worked for Paul Stefan and then became manager of MFA Produce Exchange Fertilizer Plant and had recently retired at the end of 2015.

He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1974-76.
