LAMAR- Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, at Daniel Funeral Home for William Richard “Rick” Kaderly, 73, Lamar, who died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2024, at St. Luke’s Nursing Center in Carthage.

The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to either Lamar Christian Church (Life Center) or Barton County Senior Center, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Pam; one son, Keith Kaderly and wife Natalie, Farmington, Ark.; two grandchildren, Autumn Kaderly, Ft. Smith, Ark. and Lauren Kaderly, Farmington, Ark.; one brother, Jake Kaderly and wife Kay, Jasper; three sisters, Fern Stevenson Davis, Lockwood, Susie Howland and husband Larry, Harrisonville and Henrietta Howell and husband Bill, Carthage.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Phyllis Rice and Pauline Bemis.

Mr. Kaderly was born May 5, 1950, in La Russell, to Henry Earl Kaderly and Opal Fern (Waggoner) Kaderly. He married Pamela Sue Medlin on April 4, 1970, in Lamar.

He worked in member services at Barton County Electric Co-op for 20 years and concluded his career with 17 years at Inside Information, where he provided dedicated service to electric cooperatives across the country. He was an active member of the Lamar Saddle Club, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Foundation and Lamar Christian Church. He was passionate about giving back to his community and served diligently on the Lamar R-1 School Board and Lamar City Council.
