LAMAR-Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Ricky Joe Speak, 54, Lamar, who died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016. C.K. Warden officiated. Burial was at Lake Cemetery.
Pallbearers were David McCarthy, Nathan Reed, Robert Waggerman, Joseph Barger, Joe Barger and Derek Reed. Honorary pallbearers were Melody Scott, Kenny LaCore and LaDonna Waggerman.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy; his mother, Mary Ann McCarthy and husband David, Lamar; two sons, Derek Reed, Kansas City, Mo. and Nathan Reed and wife Michelle, Independence; one daughter, Sharla Addis and husband Jesse, Oswego, Kan.; six grandchildren, Victoria, Charlie, Audra, Avery, Jackson and Jade; one sister, Brenda Lee Cline; three aunts, Donna Waggerman and Wilma Fellers, Independence and Alice Sue Hill, Blue Springs and an uncle, Joe Barger, Liberal.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Mr. Speak was born Aug. 13, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo., to Rayburn and Mary Ann (Barger) Speak. He moved to Lamar in the mid 1970's from Kansas City, Mo. He was friendly, had a big heart and loved animals and kids. He was a handyman and liked to help others. From the time he was just a young boy he was helping out his neighbors by shoveling snow or lending a helping hand wherever he saw a need. He was an auto mechanic and liked to tinker with cars and tackling repair projects. He always enjoyed a good road trip and enjoyed fishing whenever he got the chance. He was baptized at a young age in the Lutheran Church. He and his wife Tammy were married April 22, 2012, in Lamar.
